Center EVS Moldova offers 4 programs of actions that currently need EVS volunteers in different areas of cultural, social and economic development of Moldova:
1. The ‘CulturaLearn’ project: Bridging Culture over the Dniester
Theme of the project is arts and culture. The Euro House Cultural Network is a program that works to facilitate youngsters’ access to information and working to build new cultural, education and ethic dimensions to local youth. Their objectives are to contribute to a cultural revival of Moldova and to widen the cultural horizons of the local youth. Role and tasks of the volunteer are for example to organize events in the cultural field such as festivals and exhibitions, promote cultural partnership and Moldavian artist, encourage participation of youngsters to projects, run a youth club on arts and culture and to prepare booklets, brochures and a newsletter about culture.
2. Fostering Youth Entrepreneurship in Moldova
Theme of the project is equal opportunities. The main aim of the program is to stimulate the entrepreneurship of youth from Moldova through stimulation of their creativity and activity in society life. Role and tasks of the volunteer are for example: to help organize trainings and internet consultations or virtual meetings, develop new learning methodologies for fostering youth entrepreneurship, help change youth opinion towards entrepreneurship and to participate in a survey by visiting projects and literature review and interviews.
3. Rural Youth Development progam
Theme of the project is rural development and youth activities. The objective is to develop strategies and projects to initiate and support rural youth development to try to remediate to poverty and conflict. Role and tasks of the volunteer are for example to participate in a survey by interviewing, visiting projects and drafting a report, help organize and participate in all cross-border activities such as youth exchanges and study tours, promote European values, help developing the rural youth, help create youth organizations and to organize trainings, meetings and events.
4. Activating Moldovan Civil Society from the inside
Theme of the project is citizenship and democracy. This EVS work placement implies to work with a large variety of NGOs and grassroots organizations in Moldova. Objectives are to develop new participative projects and synergy between different civil society organizations and to promote volunteerism among the youth in Moldova for a better development of local civil society. Role and tasks of the volunteer are for example to create a comprehensive online database documenting the activities of civil society, create a permanent newsletter, promote partnership between grassroots organizations and promote potential project partnerships, work with mass media of Moldova and to update the resource website on civil society organizations in Moldova.
