Survey: Youth in Action boosts language skills and job opportunities
The European Commission launched a survey aimed at assessing the qualitative outcomes of Youth in Action projects on their participants and promoters. The main results of the survey among 4.550 young people, youth workers and youth organisations across Europe shows that the Youth in Action programme is well on track in pursuing its general objectives and the EU’s funding of youth projects has a positive impact on participants.
Every year the EU Youth in Action programme supports over 7 000 projects allowing more than 130 000 young people and youth workers to make valuable experiences in the field of non formal education and youth. According to the survey 95% of young people taking part in projects supported by the European Union’s Youth in Action programme improves their language skills and 66% believe that the experience also increased their chances of finding a job.
