IN THE SPOTLIGHT: Roots & Routes

Roots & Routes is an international network for the promotion of cultural and social diversity in contemporary performing arts and media. An increasing number of initiatives empower urban youths by helping and coaching them to use their singing, dancing and media skills as an economic weapon and a tool for social integration and citizenship. At the European level a number of these initiatives are united in the Roots & Routes International network. Roots & Routes organises courses, master classes, performances and events, exchanges and mobility programmes for young dance, music and media talents in more than 10 European countries. Roots&Routes Peer Coach Academy
The project Roots&Routes Peer Coaches educates young dance, music and media artists to become Peer Coaches for creative work with young people. The seminar will take place from 9 – 22 August 2010 in Akademie Remscheid, Germany. The project is open for musicians, dancers and media makers between 16 and 25 years that want to become coaches and work with creative youngsters. Online registration deadline: 12 July 2010.
