The Quality for Quality training course is a training for dealing with conflict in youth work and educational settings. The target audience are youth workers which are active in educational settings with young people. The main goal of the project is to increase the quality of the youth work in general and in educational settings in particular. The training will have a high level of practical approach, based on experiential learning and it will aim at empowering the participants of using these methods in their own realities. Service Civil International will organize a training focused on intercultural learning: ‘Open Your Mind to the Diverse World’. The seminar is aimed to collect model approaches regarding living abroad and look for the possibilities to apply them on local level while organizing short term projects. During 6 days, from 10 until 16 April 2010, a group of 20 international participants will focus on their experiences and look at it in a different light. Get in Net Training Course aims to improve international co-operation and to increase the quality of Transnational Youth Initiatives within the framework of the Youth in Action programme.The course will be based on the principles and practice of non-formal education taking into account your needs, motivations and previous experiences as starting point of the programme. A diversity of working methods will be used for learning about Transnational Youth Initiatives management, such as thinking together, brainstorming, creating new ideas, discussions and simulations. The training course will take place on 4 -9 May 2010 in Porto, Portugal and is open to young people between the age of 18 and 30 years old, belonging to an Youth organization or a group. The ParTCpation training is a training course on youth participation, new trends in youth participation and participatory approaches. Body Response is an integrated movement and expression training based on the method developed by the German psychologist and dance therapist Wilfried Gürtler (1950 – 2003). The training will increase your self-awareness and your ability to express things through movement, beyond judgments. This approach will create space for creativity and spontaneity. The French National agency invites European organizations for a contact making seminar. The main goal of this event is to develop good practices in the fields of youth and participation and to enhance a dialog between young people and policy makers. This international seminar for new organizations and projects in the European Voluntary Service (EVS) provides the possibility to learn all around the concept and philosophy of EVS and the Youth in Action programme. This seminar for project managers and youth workers will help you to create, develop and prepare your first EVS project. ERYICA’s project Safety and Quality in Online Youth Information will provide training for 30 trainers and 2 international workshops for 50 younsters. Some objectives of the project are: to develop,implement and promote ‘Principles of Quality in Online Youth Information’, to help young people improve their use of high quality information from the Internet, to promote the use of interactive platforms for youth information workers, to develop quality information from the internet and involving young people in producing quality online youth information. The project will be running for 17 months until April 2011.

The Directorate of Youth and Sport of the Council of Europe is launching a call for applications to the National and Regional Training Courses on Human Rights Education for 2010. The call is addressed to non-governmental and governmental organizations and institutions involved in human rights education with young people. Application deadline: 26 January 2010.
