The primary aim of the conference is to discuss Web2.0 and Online tools improving the work of young journalists. Celebrate the International Year of Youth
The United Nations (UN) proclaimed an International Year of Youth starting on 12 August 2010. Under the theme ‘Dialogue and Mutual Understanding,’ the Year aims to encourage dialogue and understanding across generations and promote the ideals of peace, solidarity and respect for human rights and freedom. The UN called on governments, civil society, individuals and communities worldwide to support activities at local and international levels to mark the event. Several international events are already scheduled throughout the International Year of Youth 2010. For example the Fifth World Youth Congress from 31 July to 13 August in Istanbul, the World Conference for Youth in Mexico City from 24 to 27 August and the inaugural Youth Olympic Games in Singapore from 14 to 26 August. The World Youth Conference 2010 in Mexico
The United Nations declared the year 2010 as the International Year of Youth. With that in mind, and to offer youth a first level importance, Mexico is calling to organize a meeting to discuss urgent issues and solutions of youth matters through all the regions in the world. The World Youth Conference 2010 Committee is looking for NGO representatives who will participate in the NGO Global Meeting during the World Youth Conference 2010 in Mexico City from 23 to 25 August 2010. Two NGOs will be selected for each Member State of the United Nations with one representative of the NGO. The aim of the NGO Global Meeting is to identify action priorities about youth to be attended in the international agenda of development further than the Millennium Development Goals. The meeting will host more than 420 participants that will generate a recommendation document which will be delivered to the Governments Forum on 25 August. Interested? Campus Party Europe: event for technology, creativity & digital culture
The Spanish Ministry for Science and Innovation presents Campus Party Europe in Madrid from 14 to 18 April 2010 during the Spanish Presidency of the European Union. Campus Party Europe: a special edition of what is considered the biggest event for technology, creativity and digital culture online in the world. For four days, 800 young people from the 27 member states of the EU will participate in activities such as conferences, workshops and challenges centered around three knowledge areas: Science, Digital Creativity and Innovation. You could be one of the stars of this event by sending your project before the submission deadline of 15 March 2010. International AIDS Conference 2010 calls for youngsters
The International AIDS Society (IAS) and its international partners calls for young people to participate in the International AIDS Conference 2010, which will take place from 18 to 23 July 2010 in Vienna, Austria. The aim of the AIDS 2010 organizers is to mobilize networks of young people worldwide. They want young people not only be present as delegates at the conference, but also as organizers, speakers or leaders. How to get involved?
