The European Commission has just launched an online public consultation on the development of the future European programme in the field of youth. The current European youth programme – “Youth in Action” – will run until the end of 2013. The online public consultation has been launched to collect views on how to best develop this future programme so as to ensure an adequate response to youth needs, challenges and expectations. Filling in the questionnaire will only take a few minutes. Everybody is welcome to contribute! The cosultation will be open until 30 November 2010.

This seminar aims to collect and develop tools and methods to support the Youthpass process in all Actions of the Youth in Action programme. The seminar will be held from 22 to 28 November 2010 in Berlin, Germany. Are you interested? Please submit the online application form before the deadline of 10 September 2010. EYE opener is a training course for newcomers to develop Youth Exchanges within the contest of Youth in Action and to stimulate the full participation of young people in the entire exchange. The training is based on simulation games, inputs and group work. Participation in learning couples of youtworkers and young people. The training course will take place from 6 to 11 September 2010 in De Glind, The Netherlands. Are you interested? SALTO is celebrating its 10th Anniversary in 2010 and you are invited! Participate in any of their 2010 events and get a piece of SALTO birthday cake. You can for example participate in the Youth in Action Network training courses or other thematic activities.

The SALTO (Support, Advanced Learning and Training Opportunities) is a network of 8 Resource Centres working on European priority areas within the youth field. It provides youth work and training resources and organises training and contact-making activities to support organisations and National Agencies within the frame of the European Commission’s Youth in Action programme and beyond. Eve is an innovative, promotional tool available for project beneficiaries of the “Lifelong learning”, “Culture”, “Youth in Action” and “Citizenship” programmes, to have visibility on the European Union website. It showcases plenty of useful information about thousand of projects and their results supported by programmes managed by the European Commission in the fields of Education, Training, Culture, Youth and Citizenship. This training course aims to promote creative thinking within the Youth in Action programmes and to increase the quality of international youth projects by diversifying the range of solutions for common project challenges and multiply innovative practices at local level. The training will support youth workers and youth leaders to think in innovative ways of approaching youth related topics and develop creative solutions to increase the impact and efficiency of youth activities. The aim of this training course is to increase the participation of youth in disadvantaged (sub)urban areas. Objectives are to provide new learning opportunities and innovative, low-cost methods of work. The course meant for youth workers and youth leaders is in a close relation to the 2010 European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion and will take place from 18 to 23 May 2010 in the suburbs of Warsaw, Poland. The Game-on training is an opportunity for organisations to send young people and a youth worker as a learning couple. They will learn to develop their own games/ activities which they can use in international youth exchanges. This game building activity for international youth exchanges will take place on 7-12 April 2010 in Nový Smokovec, Slovakia. For further information about the training program, please click here. ‘impACT!on’ is an international training course for young people to promote active European citizenship through youth work projects. The course aims at giving young people knowlegde, skills and understanding about active European citizenship. The Youthpass will be integrated in the programme and used by the participants as an instrument to accompany their learning. The course will also help to start designing projects on active citizenship in the Youth in Action programme. The course will be held from 2 to 8 May in De Glind, The Netherlands. ‘Eastern Express’ Training course aims at rising the quality of Youth Exchanges within action 3.1 of the Youth in Action programme, especially in cooperation between the Eastern Europe and Caucasus (EECA) regions.
